Our take on the Balsam Hill Vermont White Spruce Most Realistic Artificial Christmas Tree

The Vermont White Spruce is Balsam Hill's most realistic artificial Christmas tree, built with a mix of PE (molded) and PVC foliage in a natural cone shape. It comes in 4.5, 5.5, 6.5 and 7.5 ft heights, in full, narrow or wide profiles, with clear LED lights and an optional Twinkly Light Show. Setup options include standard, Easy Plug and Flip Tree. The best new price is $1,099 at Balsam Hill as of November 5, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little discounting to compare against.

Best forShoppers who want the most lifelike look without a real treeLarge rooms that need a 7.5 ft full or wide treeBuyers who want app-controlled Twinkly light effectsHouseholds that prefer pre-lit LED over stringing lights
Pros
  • PE tips give a fuller, more realistic branch look than all-PVC trees
  • Pre-lit with clear LEDs, up to 600 lights depending on size
  • Twinkly Light Show adds app-controlled colors and effects
  • Flip Tree and Easy Plug setups cut assembly time
  • Multiple heights and narrow/full/wide profiles fit different rooms
Cons
  • $1,099 is a premium price for an artificial tree
  • Plug-in only, so you need an outlet near the tree
  • Only one store sells it new, so price competition is limited
  • Twinkly and Flip Tree features cost extra on some configurations
  • Heavy and bulky to store off-season

Questions and answers

Is the Vermont White Spruce worth $1,099?
It is the top of Balsam Hill's realism line, so the price buys molded PE tips and pre-lit LEDs rather than a basic PVC tree. If realism matters most and you keep a tree for many years, the cost per season is easier to justify.
How is it different from Balsam Hill's other spruces?
The Vermont White Spruce uses more PE foliage than the cheaper BH Fraser Fir and BH Balsam Fir lines, which is why it is marketed as most realistic. The trade-off is weight and price.
What heights and widths does it come in?
It is sold in 4.5, 5.5, 6.5 and 7.5 ft heights, with narrow, full and wide profiles. Match the width to your room; a 7.5 ft full tree needs a wide space.
Does it need to be plugged in?
Yes. It is plug-in only and needs a nearby outlet; there is no battery option. The Twinkly Light Show also needs power and a Wi-Fi connection for app control.
What is included in the box?
You get the tree sections, a stand and the light strings built into the tree. Storage bags and some light-show accessories are sold separately on certain configurations.
When is it cheapest?
Balsam Hill runs seasonal sales, and artificial trees are usually discounted most in early November and after Christmas. As of November 5, 2026, the best new price is $1,099 at Balsam Hill.
Where is the Balsam Hill Vermont White Spruce Most Realistic Artificial Christmas Tree cheapest?
At Balsam Hill, for $1,099.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Balsam Hill Vermont White Spruce Most Realistic Artificial Christmas Tree?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 3,500 ratings.
