Questions and answers

Is the Craftsman V20 reciprocating saw worth it?
Yes if you already own V20 batteries or want a kit with battery and blade included. At $159.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a reasonable all-in price for a cordless saw kit.
Does the kit include a battery and charger?
Yes. It is a kit with a V20 battery, a charger and a 6-inch 24-tooth high-speed steel blade.
Can it cut metal or PVC pipe?
It can with the right blade, but the included blade and listed specs are for wood. Expect slower cuts in metal and pipe than a saw with orbital action.
How does it compare with the corded Craftsman saw?
The cordless version trades constant power for portability. It is best for quick cuts away from an outlet; long, heavy demolition favors a corded saw.
When is the best time to buy it?
Watch for bundle or battery promotions around major sales events. With only two stores listing it new, the price moves little, so compare both before buying.
