Our take on the Cumrige Open Top Self Cleaning Litter Box

The Cumrige is an open-top automatic litter box with a rake-style self-cleaning cycle, app control over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and an LED display. It is corded (24 W, 70-inch cord) and rated for cats up to 23 lb and up to three cats. The open design means no covered hood, so odor control depends on the litter and room ventilation. No current price was provided, so compare live store prices before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Cumrige self-cleaning box worth it?
It suits multi-cat homes that want app control and an open design at a lower price than hooded automatics. If odor containment matters most, a covered model may serve you better.
How many cats can it handle?
The listing rates it for up to three cats and a maximum pet weight of 23 lb. For three cats, expect to empty the waste drawer more often.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
App control runs over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The box still runs its cleaning cycle without a connection, but you lose remote control and alerts.
What litter works best in it?
Clumping litter works best; avoid lightweight or non-clumping litter, which the rake handles poorly. Keep the level at the fill line to reduce jams.
What is in the box?
The listing shows a single-piece shipment with no assembly required. Check the retailer page for the waste drawer liners and power adapter before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Automatic litter boxes usually dip during holiday sales and pet-store promotions. Track the price history here and buy when it falls below its recent range.
What do buyers say about the Cumrige Open Top Self Cleaning Litter Box?
