Is the 2026 XPS 13 worth $599.99?

At $599.99 at Best Buy as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a 2.2 lb laptop with a 120Hz 2.5K touchscreen and a 6-core CPU. It is a good buy for everyday work, less so if you need 16GB of memory.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

Memory is soldered LPDDR5x, so 8GB is fixed for the life of the machine. The 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD can be replaced with a larger drive.

How does it compare with the previous XPS 13?

The 2026 model moves to the Core 5 320 and a 30–120Hz panel. The chassis stays about 0.5 inch thick and 2.2 lbs, so the gains are in performance and display smoothness, not size.

Does it have USB-A or HDMI?

No. It has USB-C ports only, and the box includes a 65W USB-C adapter. Plan on a hub or dock for older peripherals and external monitors.

Is the touchscreen worth it?

The touch layer adds little weight and the panel is bright at 500 nits with a 120Hz refresh. If you mostly type, a non-touch panel would save some battery.

The current $599.99 at Best Buy is already near the bottom of its recent range. Holiday and back-to-school sales are the usual times for deeper cuts.
