Our take on the Design House Brookings Kitchen Sink Base Cabinet, 36", White

The Design House Brookings is a 36-inch white sink base cabinet with a shaker-style face frame, two soft-close doors and a finished interior. The face frame is solid wood and the side and bottom panels are plywood, which is sturdier than the particleboard used on many cabinets in this price range. It ships as a cabinet only, so the sink, faucet and countertop are bought separately. At $304.95 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the three stores that list it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Design House Brookings sink base cabinet worth it?
At $304.95 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it is a fair price for a plywood-box cabinet with a solid wood face frame and soft-close doors. Comparable ready-to-assemble cabinets often use particleboard and cost about the same.
Does it come with a sink or countertop?
No. The price covers the cabinet, two doors and the knobs. You supply the sink, faucet and countertop, and the top is predrilled for a faucet.
Will a standard 36-inch sink fit?
The cabinet is 36 inches wide, so a sink base sized for a 36-inch opening fits. Check your sink's cutout dimensions against the interior before ordering, since the plumbing space behind the doors is tight.
How does it compare with the Brookings 30-inch version?
The 36-inch gives six more inches of width for a larger sink or more room around the plumbing. The 30-inch suits smaller kitchens or bathrooms but limits you to narrower sinks.
What are the exact dimensions?
It is 34-1/2 inches high and 36 inches wide, with a depth around 21-3/4 inches. That height lines up with standard base cabinets so a countertop sits level across the run.
When is the best time to buy?
Cabinet prices move less than appliance prices, but the three-store spread means it is worth checking all listings before buying. The $304.95 eBay price as of November 3, 2026 is the lowest of the three.
Where is the Design House Brookings Kitchen Sink Base Cabinet, 36", White cheapest?
At The Home Depot, for $328.49, as of our latest check.
