Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it over buying the tools separately?
A combo kit usually costs less than a hammer drill and a 1/2 in. impact wrench bought alone, and it adds extra batteries. At $299 as of November 2, 2026, it is a reasonable buy if you need both tools.
Will the batteries fit my other DeWalt 20V MAX tools?
Yes. DeWalt 20V MAX batteries are cross-compatible across the 20V MAX line, including drills, saws and impact drivers. Chargers from other 20V MAX kits also work.
How does the hammer drill compare with a plain drill/driver?
The hammer drill adds a percussion mode for brick and concrete, at the cost of extra weight and length. For wood and drywall only, a compact drill/driver is lighter and easier to handle.
What can the 1/2 in. impact wrench handle?
It is sized for lug nuts, lag bolts and heavier fasteners. It is more tool than needed for small assembly work, where a 1/4 in. impact driver is handier.
What comes in the box?
Expect the hammer drill, the 1/2 in. impact wrench, multiple 20V MAX batteries, a charger and a carrying case. Check the listing for exact battery capacities and count.
When is the best time to buy?
DeWalt kits typically drop during Black Friday, holiday sales and spring contractor promotions. The only recorded price is $299 on November 2, 2026, so watch for a lower point before buying.
Is the DeWalt 20V MAX Hammer Drill/Impact Kit with 20V MAX 1/2 in. Impact Wrench at its lowest price?
The lowest price we've seen is $299.00 at Ace Hardware on November 2.
Where can I buy the DeWalt 20V MAX Hammer Drill/Impact Kit with 20V MAX 1/2 in. Impact Wrench?
