Is the DCS382 worth it over the older DCS367?

The DCS382 is the newer compact brushless model with a keyless twist clamp and a shorter, lighter body. The DCS367 is a four-position saw with a longer stroke, so pick it if you need reach and versatility more than compactness.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

No. This is the tool-only version, so you need a DeWalt 20V MAX or FLEXVOLT battery and a charger. A blade is included.

Wood, metal and plastic, plus composite material. The 1-1/8 in stroke and variable-speed trigger handle everything from pruning and pipe to demolition framing.

Does it work with FLEXVOLT batteries?

Yes. It accepts both 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT packs, so 60V FLEXVOLT batteries run it at 20V with longer runtime.

Bare-tool prices swing with battery kit promotions and holiday sales. The $108.99 eBay price as of November 4, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range, so waiting has limited upside.

About 5.1 lb without a battery. With a 5.0Ah XR pack it gets noticeably heavier, which matters for overhead work.
