Is the DeWalt DCK594P2 kit worth it?

It makes sense if you need all five tools and already use DeWalt 20V MAX batteries. At $936.46 at Empire Rigging & Supply as of November 4, 2026, check whether buying the drill, driver and saws separately costs less for the tools you actually use.

What is included in the box?

Five tools (DCD996 drill, DCF887 impact driver, DCS570 circular saw, DCS367 reciprocating saw, DCL040 light), two 20V MAX 5.0Ah batteries, a charger and a contractor bag.

How does it compare with the DCK594P2's predecessor kits?

This kit pairs XR brushless tools with 5.0Ah batteries. Older DeWalt combo kits often used compact brushed tools and smaller batteries, so this set gives more power and runtime per charge.

Are the batteries compatible with other DeWalt 20V MAX tools?

Yes. The included 20V MAX lithium-ion batteries fit the full DeWalt 20V MAX line, including older brushed tools and newer Atomic and XR models.

When is the best time to buy this kit?

Combo kits usually drop during Black Friday and spring tool events. The current best new price is $936.46 at Empire Rigging & Supply as of November 4, 2026; watch for holiday bundles with extra batteries.

Our take on the DeWalt 20V MAX XR Cordless 5-Tool Combo Kit (DCK594P2)

The DeWalt DCK594P2 bundles five 20V MAX XR brushless tools: the DCD996 hammer drill, DCF887 impact driver, DCS570 circular saw, DCS367 compact reciprocating saw and DCL040 LED work light. Two 5.0Ah batteries, a charger and a contractor bag are included, so it covers drilling, driving and cutting out of the box. The best new price is $936.46 at Empire Rigging & Supply as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new. That is a high price for a five-tool kit, so compare it against buying the tools separately or against a cheaper kit with fewer XR tools.
