Is this kit worth it over buying tools separately?

If you need four or more of these tools, the kit usually costs less than buying them individually with batteries. If you only need a drill and driver, buy those as a smaller combo and save the money.

How does it compare with DeWalt's older brushed combo kits?

Every tool here is brushless, which DeWalt rates at 57% more runtime than brushed equivalents. The tools are also more compact and run cooler under load.

Will the 2.0 Ah battery run the circular saw?

It will, but expect short run time and slower cuts in thick stock. Use the 5.0 Ah pack for the circular saw and grinder and keep the compact pack for the drill and driver.

Are these tools compatible with other DeWalt 20V MAX batteries?

Yes. Any DeWalt 20V MAX or 20V MAX XR battery fits these tools, including larger 6.0 and 9.0 Ah packs.

What comes in the box?

The six tools, one 5.0 Ah battery, one 2.0 Ah compact battery, a charger and a contractor bag. Blades and bits are not included.

When is the best time to buy?
