Is the Douglas Capybara Plush worth $15.95?

For a 14-inch plush from a known plush brand, $15.95 is a fair price. Comparable large capybara plush toys often sell for more.

How big is it really?

It measures about 14 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 6 inches deep. That is a lap-sized plush, not a keychain-sized one.

Can it go in the washing machine?

Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry. Machine washing can clump the polyester fill and damage the fuzzy surface.

Is it safe for young children?

It is a soft plush with no hard parts, but check the age grading on the tag. Small attached details can be a concern for kids under 3.

What is included in the box?

Just the plush capybara. No accessories, tags or extras are included beyond the toy itself.

When is the best time to buy?

Plush prices dip around Black Friday and the winter holidays. At $15.95 it is already near the low end, so waiting may save little.

Our take on the Douglas Capybara Plush

The Douglas Capybara Plush is a 14-inch stuffed capybara made from ultra-soft plush fabric with polyester fill. It is sized for hugging and display rather than as a tiny pocket toy, and the capybara shape is a less common alternative to bears and bunnies. At $15.95 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what large plush capybaras usually cost.
