The DuroMax XP15000HX is a 15,000-watt peak dual-fuel portable generator that runs on gasoline or propane and starts with a key or electric push button. It has a CO sensor that shuts the unit down if carbon monoxide rises, plus low-oil and overload protection. Its 13.2-gallon tank gives about 8.5 hours at half load on propane, and it weighs around 400 lbs, so it is a whole-home backup unit rather than a tailgate generator. At $1,899 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent price range, so waiting for a sale is reasonable.
Lowest price we've seen: $1,899.00 on Nov 5 at Factory Authorized Outlet. Tracked across 10 stores since Nov 5.
Owners rate it 4.6 out of 5 across 306 ratings and mostly praise the power output and dual-fuel setup. Complaints center on weight, fuel use and noise.
This brand new, Dual Fuel portable generator lineup features “CO Alert Technology” that will automatically shut down the generator if an unsafe level of carbon monoxide is detected. Protect your loved ones and enjoy safe and easy operation with DUROMAX!
