Does this bed need a box spring?

No. The frame includes slats, so a full-size mattress can sit directly on them. A box spring is optional if you want extra height.

What mattress size fits it?

It takes a standard full (double) mattress, about 54 by 75 inches. Twin and queen mattresses will not fit.

Is the corduroy easy to clean?

Not very. Vacuum it with an upholstery brush and spot clean gently; it picks up lint and pet hair more than smooth fabrics.

How hard is assembly?

It is a multi-step build with a wood frame and slats. Plan on a couple of hours and a second person to hold pieces in place.

Is $234.99 a good price for it?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at Wayfair, so there is no recent range to compare. Upholstered wingback beds in full size often cost more, so it reads as a budget-friendly pick.

Does it work for a guest room?

Yes. The full size suits guest rooms and smaller bedrooms, and the upholstered headboard means no separate headboard purchase.
