Our take on the Eddie Bauer Striped Luxury Down Alternative All-Season Duvet Insert

This is a queen-size all-season duvet insert from Eddie Bauer, filled with down alternative and wrapped in 400-thread-count cotton. It measures 90 by 98 inches, so it fits a queen bed with a little overhang. The striped shell is the visual signature; the fill is synthetic, so it suits sleepers who want warmth without down. At $192.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is this insert warm enough for winter?
It is sold as all-season, so it suits most heated bedrooms year-round. In a cold room without much heat, most sleepers will want a blanket on top.
Does it work without a duvet cover?
You can use it bare, but the white striped cotton shell will show stains and wear. A cover protects it and is the usual setup.
Is it machine washable?
Down-alternative inserts of this type are generally machine washable on a gentle cycle and tumble dried low. Check the care tag before washing, and use a large front-loading machine.
How does it compare with a real down duvet?
It costs less than most down duvets and is safe for down allergies. Real down lofts longer and packs smaller, but costs more and needs more careful cleaning.
What size should I buy for a queen bed?
This listing is queen at 90 by 98 inches, which gives a modest overhang on a standard queen. Choose a larger size if you want a draping look.
When is the best time to buy?
Bedding tends to drop during white sales in January and around Black Friday. At $192.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, there is only one new price listed, so watch for a seasonal markdown.
Where is the Eddie Bauer Striped Luxury Down Alternative All-Season Duvet Insert cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $192.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Eddie Bauer Striped Luxury Down Alternative All-Season Duvet Insert?
Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 146 ratings.
