Does it come with a battery and charger?

Many listings sell the mower as a bare tool, while kits include a battery and charger. Check the listing title and what's in the box before buying, since the kit costs more.

How big a yard can one battery handle?

Runtime depends on the battery. A large 56V pack typically covers a typical suburban lot, while smaller packs may need a swap on bigger or wet lawns. Buying a second battery is common for larger yards.

Is it worth it over a gas mower?

It avoids gas, oil changes and pull starts, and the batteries work in other Ego tools. Upfront cost can be higher, but running and maintenance costs are lower.

What cutting modes does it support?

This class of Ego mower typically offers mulching, bagging and side discharge. Check the specific listing for the included bag and mulch plug.

Can I use my existing Ego 56V batteries?

Yes. The mower runs on Ego's 56V ARC Lithium platform, so packs from Ego trimmers, blowers and chainsaws fit.

Ego mowers commonly drop in price during spring lawn-care sales and end-of-season clearance in fall. Kit bundles are the better value when a battery is included.

Our take on the Ego Power+ 22” Self-Propelled Lawn Mower

The Ego Power+ 22" Self-Propelled Lawn Mower is a cordless walk-behind mower with a 21-inch cutting deck, a rotary blade, and self-propelled drive. It runs on Ego's 56V ARC Lithium batteries, the same packs used across the brand's trimmers, blowers and chainsaws. It suits homeowners who want gas-like cutting power without gas, oil changes or pull cords. The self-propelled drive helps on slopes and larger yards, and the 21-inch deck keeps mowing time reasonable on quarter-acre lots.
