Our take on the EKO Mirage Sensor Trash Can

The EKO Mirage is a 47 L (12.4 gal) semi-round stainless steel trash can with a motion sensor lid that opens in about 0.2 seconds and closes on its own after 5 seconds. The lid also has a soft-close mode and a stay-open setting, and the inner liner lifts out for bag changes. It runs on four AA batteries, which EKO rates for about 8 months of use. At $89.99 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the two stores that list it.
