Is the iTouchless 2.5-gallon sensor can worth it?

It is a reasonable pick for a bathroom or small office where hands-free opening matters. At $42.74 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it costs less than most sensor cans this size.

What batteries does it use?

It runs on AA batteries in the base. Battery life depends on how often the lid cycles, and owners report it can be short.

What size trash bags fit?

Standard 2.5 to 4 gallon liners fit. The retainer ring holds the bag in place, and taller kitchen bags will bunch at the rim.

Does it have an odor filter?

Yes. It has a deodorizer compartment that takes a replaceable AbsorbX-style filter, though some versions ship without one installed.

It measures 10.3 in wide, 6.95 in deep and 16.8 in tall with the lid open, so it fits beside most toilets and under desks.

Sensor cans like this tend to dip during holiday and back-to-school sales. The current $42.74 at Amazon is already near the low end of its recent range.
