Our take on the Elite Ice Fly Bottle
The Elite Ice Fly is a 500ml insulated cycling bottle with a double isothermal wall that Elite rates to hold cold drinks for up to 2.5 hours. The best new price is $22.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

About the Elite Ice Fly Bottle
The Elite Ice Fly Bottle 500ml is built for hot-weather riding where lukewarm water just doesn't cut it. A double isothermal wall eliminates heat exchange with outside air, keeping your drink cold for up to 2.5 hours — long enough for most summer training rides and sportives.
Despite the insulated construction, the Ice Fly retains Elite's characteristic easy-squeeze body with an ergonomic grip that fits naturally in hand and seats securely in any standard bottle cage. A protective cap keeps the valve clean between rides. Available in Blue, Clear, Red, and Smoke.
• Capacity: 500ml
• Double isothermal wall insulation
• Cold retention: up to 2.5 hours
• Fits standard bottle cages
• Protective cap included

Questions and answers
- Is the Elite Ice Fly worth it over a regular bottle?
- If you ride in heat and dislike warm water, yes. The double wall keeps drinks cold for up to 2.5 hours, which a plain plastic bidon cannot do. If you mostly do short cool-weather rides, a cheaper standard bottle does the same job.
- How long does it actually keep water cold?
- Elite rates maximum insulation at up to 2.5 hours. Expect cold water through a typical summer ride, not an all-day chill.
- Does it fit standard bottle cages?
- Yes. It is built to seat in any standard cage despite the insulated wall.
- What is in the box?
- The bottle and a cover cap for the valve. No cage or other accessories are included.
- Is it BPA free and how should I clean it?
- It is BPA free. Hand wash it with mild soap and rinse the valve well; avoid harsh cleaners on the insulated wall.
- When is the price lowest?
- Insulated bottles tend to dip in off-season sales and around spring cycling promotions. At $22.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits near the low end for a double-wall bottle.
- Where is the Elite Ice Fly Bottle cheapest?
- At Amazon, for $22.99, as of our latest check.
- Where can I buy the Elite Ice Fly Bottle?
- 5 stores we checked sell it, including Send It Bikes, Amazon, RA Cycles, Backcountry.com, Condor Cycles.
