Is the Tervis Venture Lite worth it at $12.99?

At $12.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a leakproof, dishwasher-safe 24 oz bottle with team graphics. If you need all-day cold retention, a stainless bottle does that better for more money.

Does it really keep drinks cold?

It has double-walled plastic insulation, which slows warming but does not match vacuum-sealed stainless steel. Expect cold water for a few hours, not a full day.

Is the lid leakproof?

Tervis lists it as leakproof with a secure push-button lid. Close the button fully before putting it in a bag.

Can it go in the dishwasher and freezer?

Yes. Tervis lists it as dishwasher and microwave safe and freezer safe, and it is BPA-free.

What sizes and teams are available?

This listing is the 24 oz Venture Lite with Colorado Buffaloes graphics; Tervis also prints Oregon Ducks, Kansas Jayhawks and Missouri Tigers versions. Check the listing for the team and volume you want.

Team bottles usually drop during college season and after the holidays. The current $12.99 at Walmart is already the lowest of 8 stores, so further drops are likely small.
