- Is Citrus-Tone safe for avocado trees?
- Yes. Espoma lists avocado among the trees it is made for, alongside citrus, fruit and nut trees.
- How often should I apply it?
- It is a slow-release feed that can be used all year. Most growers feed at the start of the growing season and again mid-season, following the bag rate for tree size.
- What is the NPK ratio?
- 5-2-6, plus 5% calcium. The calcium is included specifically for citrus performance.
- Can I use it on potted citrus?
- Yes, it works in containers. Scratch it into the top of the soil and water it in, and use less per tree than for in-ground planting.
- How many trees does an 8 lb bag cover?
- Coverage depends on tree size and the rate on the label. A single mature tree takes more per feeding than a young container tree, so a small grove will use the bag quickly.
- Is it fully organic?
- Espoma markets it as an organic blend of natural ingredients with humates and beneficial microbes, with no sludges or fillers.
