Our take on the ExquisiCat Large Top Entry Cat Litter Box

The ExquisiCat Large Top Entry Cat Litter Box is a hooded polypropylene pan that cats enter from a lid opening on top. The top-entry design keeps litter scatter and urine spray inside and keeps dogs and toddlers out. It measures 23.4 in wide, 15.6 in long and 15.7 in tall, sized for large cats. At $25.59 at PetSmart as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range and is one of the cheaper covered boxes of this size.

Questions and answers

Is a top entry box good for kittens?
Only once they can jump in and out reliably. Young kittens and cats over about 10 years old often do better with a low-entry box.
Will it stop litter tracking?
It reduces it a lot, since cats exit through the top and litter falls back in. Some litter still rides on paws, so a mat at the exit helps.
How big is it inside?
The box is 23.4 in wide, 15.6 in long and 15.7 in tall outside. That fits most large cats, but very long cats may still be cramped.
Does it come with a scoop or liner?
No. It ships as the top-entry pan only, so buy a scoop and liners separately if you want them.
Is $25.59 a good price?
Yes. That is at the low end of its recent range and among the cheapest covered boxes this size at PetSmart as of November 5, 2026.
Can my cat use it if it has arthritis?
Usually not comfortably. The jump in and out is the main drawback for older cats; a low-entry box is the safer choice.
Where is the ExquisiCat Large Top Entry Cat Litter Box cheapest?
At PetSmart, for $25.59, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the ExquisiCat Large Top Entry Cat Litter Box?
4 stores we checked sell it, including PetSmart, DoorDash, Instacart, Uber Eats.
