Our take on the Exquisicat Dual Entry XL Hooded Cat Litter Box

The Exquisicat Dual Entry XL Hooded Cat Litter Box is a covered, non-automatic litter box sized for large cats, with a hooded top and two ways in and out. It measures about 20.5 by 20 by 19 inches, so it gives a big cat room to turn around while keeping litter and spray contained. At $35.99 at PetSmart as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what large hooded boxes cost; most XL hooded boxes run $40 to $70.

Questions and answers

Is the Exquisicat Dual Entry XL box big enough for a large cat?
At about 20.5 by 20 by 19 inches it is one of the larger hooded boxes, sized for XL cats. A very long cat may still need an open jumbo box, but most large cats fit with room to turn.
Does the dual entry mean two doors?
Yes. The hooded design gives the cat more than one way in and out, which helps cats that feel cornered in a single-door covered box. Check the door flaps on arrival, since some cats push them off.
Is it self-cleaning?
No. It is a manual box, so you scoop by hand. If you want automatic raking, expect to pay well over $100 more.
How does $35.99 compare with other XL hooded boxes?
It is cheap for the size. Comparable XL hooded boxes usually run $40 to $70, so $35.99 at PetSmart as of November 5, 2026 is a good price if the size fits your cat.
Will a covered box make my cat stop using it?
Some cats dislike enclosed boxes, especially if odors build up. Scoop daily and give the cat a trial period; keep an open box as backup if your cat is picky.
What comes in the box?
The base pan and the hooded cover, sold as a single unit. Litter and liners are not included.
Where is the Exquisicat Dual Entry XL Hooded Cat Litter Box cheapest?
At PetSmart, for $35.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Exquisicat Dual Entry XL Hooded Cat Litter Box?
3 stores we checked sell it, including PetSmart, DoorDash, Shipt.
