- Is the FEASTO 30-inch good for smoking, or just grilling?
- It does both. The offset smoker box is integrated into the body, so you can run indirect heat for ribs or poultry while the main chamber grills. Expect to add charcoal every hour or so on long smokes.
- How many people can it feed?
- The 832 square inches of total cooking area and 66-burger capacity suit a backyard party of 15 to 20 people. The 448 sq in main grate alone handles a family cookout.
- Does it come with a cover and thermometer?
- Yes. A cover and a built-in lid thermometer are included, so you don't need to buy either separately.
- How hard is assembly?
- Plan on about an hour to 90 minutes with two people. The parts are straightforward but the body is bulky at 56.3 lbs assembled.
- Is $169.99 a good price?
- It is the lowest new price among the four stores listing it as of November 7, 2026, and sits at the low end of its recent range. Waiting for a further drop is unlikely to save much.
- Can I use it on a wooden deck?
- Only with care. The firebox and ash pan get hot, so use a heat-resistant mat and keep it clear of railings and overhangs.
