Our take on the Finmind 70.87-inch Executive Desk

The Finmind 70.87-inch executive desk is a wide, fixed-height MDF desk with a farmhouse look, four open shelves and a 350 lb load rating. It is not height adjustable, so the 29.53-inch top height is what you get. It ships flat and needs assembly, and at 97 lb assembled it is a two-person job. No price was given for this listing, so check current store prices before buying.

Two-monitor or paperwork-heavy setups
Pros
  • 70.87-inch top gives room for two monitors plus paperwork
  • 350 lb max load is generous for an MDF desk
  • Four open shelves keep books and supplies off the desktop
  • Scratch-resistant finish suits daily use
  • Fixed 29.53-inch height matches standard desk and chair ergonomics
Cons
  • MDF throughout, including the base, so it is heavy and not solid wood
  • No height adjustment and no drawers or hutch
  • Assembly required, and 97 lb assembled means two people
  • Red and brown farmhouse finish will not suit every room
  • Residential use only, not rated for office or commercial settings

Questions and answers

Is the Finmind executive desk worth it?
It depends on price and whether you want a wide fixed desk with open shelves. The 350 lb rating and 70.87-inch top are strong for an MDF desk, but you give up drawers and height adjustment.
How tall is the desk, and can I adjust it?
The top sits at 29.53 inches and the desk is not height adjustable. Check that against your chair and monitor height before buying.
How much assembly does it need?
It ships with hardware and instructions and arrives unassembled. At 97 lb assembled, plan on two people for the build and the flip.
What is the desktop made of?
Both the top and base are MDF with a scratch-resistant finish. It is not solid wood, so expect a heavier, denser feel and keep it away from standing water.
Does it come with a chair or hutch?
No. The box includes hardware and instructions only; no chair, hutch or drawers are included.
When is the best time to buy it?
Desks like this usually drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Compare current store prices and the price history before buying.
