Is this desk worth it compared with a cheaper writing desk?

If you need a wide, formal work surface for a dedicated office, the extra length is the main reason to pay more. For a laptop-only setup in a small room, a narrower desk does the same job for less.

How big is the desk, exactly?

The top is 70.8 inches wide, which is close to six feet. Measure your wall and doorway first, because a desk this long is hard to move through tight halls.

Does it have drawers or cable management?

No. It is a table-style executive desk with a wood top and open legroom, so plan on a separate filing cabinet and some cable ties.

What is the desktop made of?

The desktop is wood in a walnut finish. Use coasters and a desk pad, since wood surfaces can mark from hot cups and heavy use.

When is the best time to buy it?

Furniture prices drop most during major holiday sales and end-of-season clearance. Watch the price history and buy when it dips below the recent average rather than at full price.

Can two people work at it side by side?

At 70.8 inches wide, two people can share it for laptops, but there is no center divider or cable tray. It works better as one person's large workstation.

Our take on the Wrought Studio 70.8-Inch Executive Desk, Walnut

The Wrought Studio 70.8-Inch Executive Desk is a wide, walnut-finish wood desk built for a home office or a small business office. At 70.8 inches it is long enough for two monitors, a laptop and paperwork with room to spare, and the executive styling gives it a heavier, more formal look than a basic writing desk. It is a furniture piece, so its price moves with sales and shipping rather than daily, and the latest best price sits in the lower part of its recent range.
