Is the Florent sofa good for everyday family use?

The zip-off, reversible covers and contract-grade build help with daily use. The soft down-blend seat and velvet fabric still need regular fluffing and gentle cleaning.

How firm is the seat?

West Elm rates seat firmness at 2 out of 5, on the soft end. Shoppers who want a firm, upright seat should look elsewhere.

Can I wash the covers?

The cushion covers zip off and the cushions are reversible, which makes cleaning easier. Check the care label before machine washing velvet.

What are the seat cushions filled with?

Seat cushions use a down blend and back cushions use fiber. Both are loose, so they need fluffing and rotating to keep their shape.

Is it suitable for a commercial space?

West Elm lists it as contract-grade and suitable for commercial use. Confirm the warranty terms for contract settings before buying.

When is the best time to buy?

The best new price is $1,439.20 at West Elm as of November 5, 2026. West Elm runs seasonal sales, so watch for holiday and clearance events.
