Is the FoodSaver VS3120 worth it at $159.99?

At $159.99 at Blain's Farm & Fleet as of November 7, 2026, it is a reasonable mid-range pick if you want built-in roll storage. Cheaper models seal fine but usually skip the roll compartment.

Does it work with rolls or only pre-cut bags?

Both. It has a compartment for plastic rolls and a cutting blade, and it also accepts standard pre-cut FoodSaver bags.

Can I vacuum seal jars or containers with it?

Not directly. This model has no accessory hose or port, so jar and container sealing needs a FoodSaver model with an accessory mode.

It measures about 17.8 inches long, 8.6 inches deep and 10.6 inches high and weighs 7.9 pounds, so plan for counter or cabinet space.

Vacuum sealers typically drop during holiday sales and warehouse-club promotions. Check the price history on this page before buying.
