The FPD 40-inch Smart TV is a budget 1080p LED set running Google TV, with Google Assistant built in and two HDMI ports. Its 240-nit panel and 60 Hz refresh rate are basic even for a 40-inch TV, so expect modest brightness and no motion smoothing for fast content. At $193.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits at its only recorded price, so there is no discount history to judge against yet. It makes sense mainly as a cheap second screen for a bedroom, kitchen or dorm.

The 3.4 out of 5 from 97 ratings points to a mixed reception: buyers accept it as a cheap secondary set but are not enthusiastic. Complaints tend to center on picture brightness and build quality rather than the smart features.
