Is this TV good for a bright living room?

Probably not. At 330 nits it is dim by 4K standards, and HDR10 highlights will wash out near windows or strong daylight. It fits better in a bedroom or a room you can shade.

Does it support 4K gaming at 120 Hz?

No. The panel is 60 Hz, so consoles cap at 60 fps even though the listing mentions HDMI 2.1 and ALLM. It is fine for casual play, not competitive gaming.

What apps come built in?

Tizen includes Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Disney+, plus Samsung TV Plus free live channels. You sign in with your own accounts for the paid services.

Do I need a soundbar?

Most buyers will want one. The two 8W speakers with Dolby Audio are thin for a 65-inch set, especially for movies with deep bass.

Can it be wall mounted?

Yes. It supports wall mounting, but the stand and VESA pattern are not listed, so confirm the mount size before you buy a bracket.

When is the best time to buy?

Large TVs see the deepest discounts around Black Friday and before Super Bowl weekend. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is near its low.

Our take on the Fpd 65-inch Smart TV

The Fpd 65-inch Smart TV is a budget 4K LED set built on Samsung's Tizen platform, with Netflix, Samsung TV Plus and the main streaming apps onboard. It covers the basics: 4K UHD resolution, HDR10, three HDMI ports and dual 8W speakers with Dolby Audio. Brightness is modest at 330 nits and the panel refreshes at 60 Hz, so it suits dim rooms and casual viewing more than bright living rooms or fast gaming.
