Is the Furhaven donut bed worth it?

For a small dog that likes to curl, yes. The bolster and soft cover are the draw. If your dog is near 15 lb or sprawls out to sleep, a flat or larger bed suits better.

What size dog fits this bed?

Furhaven rates it for dogs under 15 lb. The listed base is 20 x 20 x 8 inches, so measure your dog curled up before buying.

Can the whole bed go in the washing machine?

Yes, it is listed as machine washable. Wash on a gentle cycle and air dry to limit matting of the faux fur and clumping of the PP cotton fill.

Does the fill flatten out?

PP cotton can lose loft with use and washing. Fluff the bed by hand after washing and expect some settling over months.

When is the best time to buy it?

At $55.99 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent low to wait for. Watch for seasonal pet promotions if you are not in a hurry.

Our take on the Furhaven 27-Inch Round Calming Donut Dog Bed

A round donut-style bed with a raised faux-fur bolster and PP cotton fill, sized for dogs under 15 lb. The rim gives dogs something to curl against and rest their head on, which is the main reason people pick this shape. At $55.99 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
