Our take on the K9 Ballistics Tough Bolster Nesting Pillow Large Sofa Dog Bed

The K9 Ballistics Tough Bolster Nesting Pillow is a rectangular dog bed with a shredded CertiPUR-US foam cushion and raised bolsters, built for dogs that dig and scratch. The rip-stop ballistic cover is water-resistant and removable, with a Velcro flap over a hidden zipper so dogs can't work it open. It comes in sizes from small (28 x 21 inches outer) up to XXL (68 x 40 inches). The best new price is $192.50 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, with three stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is this bed worth the price?
If your dog has destroyed softer beds, the rip-stop ballistic cover and hidden zipper make it a reasonable long-term buy. For a calm sleeper, a cheaper fabric bed will do the same job.
What size should I get?
Measure your dog stretched out and add a few inches. The small has a 20 x 17 inch sleeping area; the XL sleeping area is 46 x 34 inches, and the XXL outer size is 68 x 40 inches.
Is the cover machine washable?
Yes. The cover unzips and can be washed; the Velcro flap covers the zipper. Air-dry or tumble low to protect the water-resistant finish.
Will it stop a heavy chewer?
It is built for diggers and scratchers, not dedicated chewers. Dogs that bite through fabric can still damage seams, so pair it with supervision.
Is it waterproof?
No. The cover is water-resistant, so small spills bead up, but accidents can soak through to the foam.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $192.50 at eBay as of November 5, 2026. Prices across the three stores listing it new vary, so compare before buying.
