Our take on the Furryfection Large Wooden Weatherproof Outdoor Cat House

The Furryfection Large Wooden Weatherproof Outdoor Cat House is a single-level wooden shelter for cats that stay outside, with a raised floor and an overhanging roof to shed rain. It stands 27.1 inches high, so it suits most adult cats but not large breeds or several cats at once. At $89.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Pros
  • Wood construction insulates better than thin plastic
  • Weatherproof finish and overhanging roof keep rain out
  • Raised floor keeps bedding off cold, wet ground
  • Single level is easy for older cats to enter
  • Simple assembly compared with multi-level houses
Cons
  • 27.1 inches high leaves little headroom for large cats
  • One level only, so no climbing or separate sleeping and lookout areas
  • No door flap or heater included
  • Wood needs re-sealing over time to stay weatherproof
  • Only one store lists a new price, so comparison shopping is limited

Questions and answers

Is it worth $89.99?
For a wooden, weatherproof single-cat house, $89.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026 is a fair price. Plastic houses cost less but insulate poorly; larger wooden ones cost more.
Will it fit a large cat?
At 27.1 inches high, it fits most adult cats but is tight for Maine Coons and other large breeds. Measure your cat's standing height before buying.
Does it come with a door flap or heater?
No. It is an unheated wooden shelter, so add straw bedding and a flap or windbreak yourself if winters are harsh.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes, it is built as a weatherproof outdoor house. Re-seal the wood periodically and keep it off direct ground contact so the base does not rot.
How many cats fit inside?
One cat comfortably. Two only if they are small and used to sharing tight spaces.
When is the price lowest?
Outdoor cat houses tend to drop in late fall and around Black Friday. With one store listing it, watch Walmart for markdowns rather than expecting a broad price war.
Where is the Furryfection Large Wooden Weatherproof Outdoor Cat House cheapest?
At Walmart, for $89.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Furryfection Large Wooden Weatherproof Outdoor Cat House?
Rated 5 out of 5 from 10 ratings.
