Our take on the TRIXIE 3 Story Cat House

The TRIXIE 3 Story Cat House is a wooden outdoor shelter and play structure for cats, 37 inches tall with three levels, two peek-a-boo holes and a raised floor on hard plastic footing. The raised floor keeps the base off wet soil, which Trixie says limits decay. It is small (22 by 23.2 inches, 30 lb) and freestanding, and it can be used indoors or out. At $89.99 at PetSmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across 9 stores.

  • Works indoors or outdoors
  • Compatible with Trixie litter box enclosures
Cons
  • Small footprint suits one or two cats, not a crowd
  • Assembly required
  • Wood needs periodic cleaning and weather checks
  • 30 lb and 37 inches tall, so moving it is a two-person job
