GAOMON 20" Electric Fireplace with Simulated Charcoal Flame

Our take on the GAOMON 20" Electric Fireplace with Simulated Charcoal Flame

The GAOMON 20-inch electric fireplace is a compact plug-in unit that produces a simulated charcoal flame and up to 1,500W of fan-forced heat, with an automatic shut-off safety feature. Its small footprint suits apartments, bedrooms and offices where a full mantel won't fit. The best new price is $69.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, and only two stores list it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.

Questions and answers

Is the GAOMON 20-inch electric fireplace worth it?

At $69.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to add flame ambiance and backup heat to a small room. Expect basic build quality and a stylized, not realistic, flame.

How much space will 1,500W heat?

Roughly 400 square feet in a well-insulated room, similar to any 1,500W space heater. It works best as supplemental heat, not a primary source.

Can I use the flame without the heater?

Yes. The flame effect runs independently of the heat, so you can keep the look on in warm months without adding heat.

Does it need special wiring?

No. It plugs into a standard 120V outlet, but at 1,500W it pulls about 12.5A, so avoid sharing the circuit with other high-draw appliances.

What safety features does it have?

It has an automatic shut-off. Keep the vents clear and do not run it unattended for long periods.

When is it cheapest?

With only two stores listing it new, price swings are small. Watch eBay listings around fall and holiday sales, when space heaters are most discounted.

Where is the GAOMON 20" Electric Fireplace with Simulated Charcoal Flame cheapest?

Where can I buy the GAOMON 20" Electric Fireplace with Simulated Charcoal Flame?
