Our take on the Sweetcrispy Freestanding Electric Fireplace 1500W/750W Wall Mounted or Recessed Heater with Remote

The Sweetcrispy is a 1,500 W electric fireplace that can stand on the floor, hang on a wall or recess into a wall, so it fits a living room, bedroom or finished basement. It puts out 5,000 BTU of forced-air heat, enough for a room up to about 1,000 sq ft, and drops to 750 W low heat. A remote and an adjustable thermostat let you run it without getting up, and it shuts off automatically. The best new price is $175.99 at sweetcrispy as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no lower price to compare against.

Best forRenters and homeowners who want flame ambiance without a chimneyHeating a bedroom, den or finished basement up to about 1,000 sq ftWall-mount or recessed installs where floor space is tightBuyers who want remote and thermostat control on a budget
Pros
  • Three install options: freestanding, wall-mounted or recessed
  • 5,000 BTU forced-air heat for rooms up to about 1,000 sq ft
  • 750 W low setting for milder days
  • Remote control and adjustable thermostat
  • Auto shut-off for safety
  • Slim steel body, about 4 to 5.25 in deep
Cons
  • Forced air is dry and noisy compared with radiant or oil-filled heaters
  • No mantel or surround included
  • Not for garages or damp outdoor use
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is limited
  • Flame look is electric, not a real fire

Questions and answers

Is the Sweetcrispy fireplace worth it?
At $175.99 at sweetcrispy as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to add flame ambiance and supplemental heat. It makes sense if you want a wall-mount or recessed unit and do not need a mantel.
Can it really heat 1,000 sq ft?
The 5,000 BTU rating is best for a single room, and 1,000 sq ft is the upper limit under ideal insulation. Expect it to warm a bedroom or den well and to struggle in a large open-plan space.
Does it need to be vented or hardwired?
No. It is ventless and plugs into a standard outlet. You choose freestanding, wall-mounted or recessed mounting at install.
What comes in the box?
The fireplace unit and a remote control. Mounting hardware for wall or recessed installs is typically included, but check the listing before you buy.
When is the price lowest?
Electric fireplaces usually drop during fall and winter heating sales and around Black Friday. With only one store listing it new, watch sweetcrispy directly for markdowns.
Where is the Sweetcrispy Freestanding Electric Fireplace 1500W/750W Wall Mounted or Recessed Heater with Remote cheapest?
At sweetcrispy, for $175.99, as of our latest check.
