Questions and answers

Is this good for a beginner?
Yes. The 88 full-size keys let a beginner learn on the same layout as a piano, and the included stand, headphones and pedal cover the basics. The semi-weighted action is lighter than an acoustic piano, so plan to move to a weighted keyboard later if you progress.
Does it have weighted keys?
The keys are semi-weighted, not fully weighted. They have some resistance but no hammer mechanism, so the feel sits between a synth-action keyboard and a real piano.
Can I use it with a phone or computer?
Yes. It has Bluetooth, MIDI and USB, so you can connect to piano-learning apps, MIDI software or a DAW. A USB or MIDI cable may be needed depending on your device.
What comes in the box?
The bundle includes the keyboard, a stand, headphones, a sustain pedal and a carry bag. Check the listing for cable inclusions before buying.
Can I practice without disturbing others?
Yes. Plug the included headphones into the headphone jack and the speakers go quiet. This is the main reason the bundle suits apartment practice.
When is the best time to buy?
Bundle keyboards like this usually drop around back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is above or below its usual range.
