Is this daybed worth it?

It is a reasonable buy if you want a decorative twin daybed on a budget and already plan for a box spring and mattress. If you need a heavy-duty daily sleeper, a sturdier frame is a better spend.

Does it come with a mattress or box spring?

No. The frame requires a twin mattress and a box spring, and neither is included. Budget for both before you buy.

How tall is the frame off the floor?

The floor-to-frame height is 12 inches, which leaves usable space underneath for storage bins or a trundle.

How hard is assembly?

Adult assembly is required and some tools are provided. Expect a couple of hours with two people; the scrollwork pieces are the fiddly part.

What size mattress fits?

A standard twin mattress. Because it is a panel bed, it needs a box spring underneath, so the mattress sits higher than on a platform frame.

When is the price lowest?

Metal daybed frames like this tend to dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the Garvee Twin Metal Daybed Frame with Heart Scroll Twist Headboard

The Garvee Twin Metal Daybed Frame is a steel daybed with a heart scroll twist headboard and back, designed to double as a sofa by day and a twin bed by night. It stands 12 inches off the floor, needs a box spring and a twin mattress (neither included), and requires adult assembly with some tools provided. It is a budget-priced decorative frame rather than a heavy-duty sleeper.
