Is the Winston Porter Daybed Trundle worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you need a wood daybed with a second sleeping spot and already own mattresses. Check the frame price against other solid wood daybeds, since the 250 lb limit rules out heavier adults.

What size mattress does it take?

Daybeds of this type typically take a twin mattress, and the trundle takes a twin or trundle-size mattress. Confirm the size on the listing before ordering, because the frame is sold without mattresses.

Does it include the trundle and mattress?

The trundle is part of the product, but the frame is sold frame only. You need to buy the daybed mattress and the trundle mattress separately.

Can an adult sleep on it?

The 250 lb maximum weight limits it. It works for teens and average-weight adults, but heavier sleepers should look at a metal frame with a higher rating.

How hard is assembly?

Wood daybeds like this usually assemble in an hour or two with basic tools. Two people help when positioning the trundle and side rails.

When is the best time to buy?

Furniture prices often dip around major holiday sales and at the end of a season. Track the price history and buy when it sits near its recent low.
