Does the Forkey daybed need a box spring?

No. It ships with slats, so a twin mattress sits directly on the frame. A box spring would add height you probably do not need.

What mattress size fits it?

A standard twin mattress. The frame is 42 inches wide and 93 inches long, so check your room and doorway clearance before ordering.

Is it sturdy enough for everyday sitting?

The wood frame and slats support daily use as a sofa. Owners generally describe it as solid, though it is upholstered furniture, not a heavy-duty sofa.

How hard is assembly?

It comes flat-packed and takes a couple of hours with two people. Reviewers often mention the assembly time as the main downside.

Is the linen upholstery easy to clean?

Linen-look fabric wipes up light spills but stains more easily than leather or performance fabric. Spot clean promptly and avoid harsh cleaners.

When is the best time to buy it?

Upholstered furniture tends to drop during major holiday sales and end-of-season clearances. Check the price history before buying at full price.
