Is the Ginsey Soft Toilet Seat worth it?

It is a cheap comfort fix if your current seat feels hard or cold. At $36.00 at Mercari as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than a basic plastic seat, so buy it for the padding, not the price.

Will it fit my toilet?

It is a standard round-front size at about 17.5 inches long and 14.5 inches wide. Measure your bowl before buying; elongated toilets need a different seat.

Is the cushion easy to clean?

The vinyl top wipes clean with a damp cloth and mild cleaner. Avoid soaking the padding, and dry the seams, since moisture under the cushion is the main long-term issue.

Does it come with mounting hardware?

It installs with standard toilet seat hinges and bolts, and the listing does not detail extras. Check the package contents before ordering if you need new bolts.

No. It is a padded cover only, with no heating, bidet or slow-close electronics.

Only one store, Mercari, lists it new at $36.00 as of November 4, 2026, so there is little discounting to wait for. Watch for a lower listing rather than a seasonal sale.

Our take on the Ginsey Soft Toilet Seat

The Ginsey Soft Toilet Seat is a padded, cushioned seat cover in a chocolate color, sized to fit standard round-front toilets. It measures about 17.5 inches long and 14.5 inches wide and weighs under a pound, so it lifts easily and is simple to install. It is a comfort upgrade rather than a heated or bidet seat. The best new price is $36.00 at Mercari as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent range to compare against.
