Questions and answers

Is the Gubbins chair worth $409.99?
At $409.99 at American Furniture Outlet as of November 4, 2026, you pay for a fully assembled Ashley chair with a swivel base. Comparable swivel accent chairs often cost less but arrive unassembled. Compare the 4 stores selling it new before buying.
Does it really come fully assembled?
Yes. The listing states it ships fully assembled. The box is 33 x 39 x 40 inches and weighs about 102 lbs, so plan for a two-person carry through doorways.
How does the swivel work?
The base turns a full 360 degrees, so you can face the TV, a sofa or a guest without getting up. There is no lock or return-to-center spring.
Will the gray spot fabric match my sofa?
The gray polyester has a subtle spot pattern, which hides marks better than a solid. It reads as a mid-tone gray, so it pairs best with solid or lightly patterned sofas rather than strong prints.
Can I wash the cushion covers?
The listing does not say the covers are removable or machine washable. Spot-clean the polyester and rotate the reversible back pillow and loose seat cushion to spread wear.
When is it cheapest?
The current best new price is $409.99 at American Furniture Outlet as of November 4, 2026. Ashley accent chairs usually drop during holiday and clearance events, so check the price history before buying.
Where is the Gubbins Swivel Accent Chair cheapest?
