Our take on the Hart 20-Volt Cordless 6-Tool Combo Kit

The Hart 20-Volt Cordless 6-Tool Combo Kit bundles a drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, circular saw, random orbit sander and work light around two 20V lithium-ion batteries and a fast charger. It is a brushed-motor starter set aimed at DIYers who want one box of tools for a first apartment, garage or weekend project list. At $89 at TalkShopLive as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, well under what a comparable six-piece kit from a major brand usually costs. The trade-off is brushed motors and a 20.43 lb bag, so it is a value pick rather than a pro-grade set.

Best forFirst-time tool buyers building a basic kitHomeowners and renters with occasional repair and assembly jobsGift buyers who want a complete set under $100DIYers already on the Hart 20V battery platform
Pros
  • Six tools plus two batteries and a charger for $89
  • Shared 20V battery works across the whole Hart line
  • Includes a storage bag that holds the full kit
  • Covers drilling, driving, cutting and sanding in one purchase
  • Random orbit sander runs at 10,000 RPM, enough for finish work
Cons
  • Brushed motors are less efficient and shorter-lived than brushless
  • Circular and reciprocating saws are light-duty, not for framing or demolition
  • 20.43 lb bag is heavy to carry up stairs or across a job site
  • Batteries are small capacity, so runtime on saws is limited
  • No hard case, only a soft bag

Pros
  • Great value for a full six-tool set
  • Batteries and charger included, ready to use out of the box
  • Light enough tools for household jobs and assembly

Cons
  • Saws bog down in thick or hard material
  • Battery drains quickly during sustained cutting or sanding

Questions and answers

Is the Hart 6-tool combo kit worth it at $89?
Yes, if you need a broad starter set rather than one good tool. Six tools, two batteries and a charger for $89 is hard to beat, and the price is at the low end of its recent range.
How does it compare with a brushless combo kit?
Brushless kits from Milwaukee, DeWalt or Makita cost several times more but deliver more power, longer runtime and longer motor life. The Hart kit is fine for light DIY work and not for daily trade use.
How long do the batteries last?
Expect short runtime in the saws and sander and longer life in the drill and impact driver. Two batteries help, but heavy cutting will drain them quickly; buy spare Hart 20V batteries if you plan long sessions.
What comes in the box?
Six tools (drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, circular saw, random orbit sander and light), two 20V lithium-ion batteries, a fast charger, a storage bag and the operator's manual.
Do Hart 20V batteries fit other Hart tools?
Yes. The 20V batteries are shared across the Hart 20V cordless line, so you can add bare tools later and reuse the same packs and charger.
When is the kit cheapest?
Combo kits like this tend to drop around Black Friday, Father's Day and end-of-season clearance. At $89 it is already near the bottom of its recent range, so waiting may not save much.
