Is the HART 20V combo kit worth it for a beginner?

For occasional drilling and screw driving around the house, yes. It gives you both tools on one battery for less than most name-brand kits. If you plan to build decks or work daily, step up to a pro-grade line.

Does the drill have a brushless motor?

The listing names it a brushless combo, but the spec sheet also says brushed motor type, so the two conflict. Check the motor label on the tool itself before buying if brushless matters to you.

How many batteries come in the box?

One 20V lithium-ion battery, plus a charger, a double-ended driving bit and the operator's manual. A second battery is a sensible add-on if you use both tools in one session.

Do Hart 20V batteries fit other Hart tools?

Yes. Hart uses one 20V battery platform across its cordless line, so the battery works in other Hart 20V drills, saws and outdoor tools.

What is the drill's chuck size?

It is a 1/2-inch drill/driver, which takes standard round-shank bits up to half an inch. That covers common twist bits, hole saws and driver bits.

When is the best time to buy this kit?

Hart kits see their deepest discounts around Black Friday, Father's Day and Walmart's spring tool events. Watch the price history and buy when it drops below its usual range.

Our take on the HART 20-Volt Cordless Brushless Drill and Impact Combo Kit

This is a two-tool cordless kit from Hart, Walmart's house tool brand: a 1/2-inch drill/driver and an impact driver, both on the same 20V lithium-ion battery. The impact driver spins up to 2,500 RPM and the drill weighs about 2.6 lbs, so the pair covers drilling and driving without much bulk. The kit ships with one battery, a charger and a double-ended bit, so you can run one tool while the other waits. It is a budget combo aimed at light household and DIY work rather than daily jobsite use.
