Is the Hastings Home hamper big enough for a family?

At 26 gallons it holds roughly two to three loads of laundry, which suits one or two people well. A larger family will likely need to empty it every couple of days.

Does it stand up on its own when empty?

The canvas is soft, so it holds its round shape best when partly filled. Empty, it tends to slump and is meant to be folded flat.

The body is canvas, so spot cleaning with a damp cloth is the safe approach. Machine washing is not recommended because it can distort the shape.

Is $13.99 a good price?

That is a low price for a 26-gallon canvas hamper, and only one store lists it new as of November 8, 2026, so there is little to gain by waiting for a lower one.

Does it come with a liner or lid?

No. It is a single canvas bin with no lid and no removable liner, so plan on a separate bag if you want one.
