Our take on the Henckels Elan Self-Sharpening 14-Piece Knife Block Set

The Henckels Elan is a 14-piece knife block set built around one-piece forged German stainless steel blades and a wood block with self-sharpening slots. The set covers the everyday jobs: 8-inch chef's knife, santoku, bread knife, serrated utility, paring, six steak knives, kitchen shears and a sharpening steel. The block sharpens each knife as you pull it out or put it back, so edges stay usable without a separate sharpener. At $119.99 at Kohl's as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, well under typical list pricing for a set this size.
