Is the Hisense 85U8QG good for gaming?

Yes. It has a 165Hz panel, three HDMI 2.1 ports and support for 4K/120 with VRR, which covers PS5 and Xbox Series X. Check that your console is plugged into an HDMI 2.1 port and that game mode is on.

Does the 85U8QG support Dolby Vision and HDR10+?

It supports both, plus HDR10 and HLG. That means it will handle HDR from Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and most 4K Blu-rays without format compromises.

How does the 85U8QG compare with the U8N or U8K?

The U8QG is the newer U8Q-series set with a 165Hz panel and ADS Pro screen. Older U8N and U8K models use different panels and often show deeper blacks, so compare contrast and price rather than assuming the newer set wins.

What is in the box with the 85U8QG?

You get the TV, a stand with hardware, the Google TV remote, a power cable and documentation. No soundbar or wall mount is included, and an 85-inch set needs a heavy-duty mount rated well above its weight.

When is the best time to buy the 85U8QG?

Large TVs see the deepest discounts around Black Friday, Super Bowl season and when a new model year arrives. Track its price history and buy when it drops below its recent range rather than at launch.

Does the 85U8QG have an ATSC 3.0 tuner?

Yes. It includes an ATSC 3.0 tuner, so it can receive next-gen over-the-air broadcasts where available, in addition to standard ATSC 1.0 channels.

Our take on the Hisense 85U8QG (85-Inch)

The Hisense 85U8QG is an 85-inch 4K Mini-LED Google TV from Hisense's U8Q series, built around an ADS Pro panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and 4.1.2-channel audio. It supports every major HDR format (Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG), carries three HDMI 2.1 ports and an ATSC 3.0 tuner, and runs the Hi-View Engine Pro processor. That makes it a large, gaming-ready set aimed at buyers who want big-screen brightness and format coverage without flagship pricing. Its price position against recent listings is not established here, so compare current store prices before committing.
