Is the Clifton L good for actual running?

Yes, but it is a lifestyle build. The midsole and 5 mm drop match the Clifton line, while the suede and leather upper is heavier and warmer than the running version.

How does the Clifton L compare to the Clifton 9?

The Clifton 9 is lighter and more breathable, with an engineered mesh upper made for running. The Clifton L trades that for a casual look and a slightly heavier feel.

Does the Clifton L fit true to size?

Most buyers take their usual size, but some with wider feet report a narrow fit and go up half a size.

Is this a stability shoe?

No. It is a neutral shoe with a 5 mm drop and no added support, so overpronators should look at Hoka's Arahi or Gaviota instead.

What is the lowest price seen for the Clifton L?

The best new price is $96 at StockX as of November 7, 2026, against a typical retail of $130–$150. Seven stores list it new.

Does it come with a warranty?

No written warranty is listed. Any defect coverage would come from the store or Hoka's standard policy.
