Is the HOMCOM electric fireplace worth it?

For a small room and a budget under $70, it gives you a flame effect and supplemental heat with no installation. Do not expect it to replace a main heat source in a large or open room.

How much space will it heat?

HOMCOM rates it for 161 to 323 sq ft at 5,120 to 6,460 BTU. That is roughly a bedroom or small office, and it works best as a supplement to existing heating.

Can I use the flames without heat?

Yes. The LED flame effect runs independently, so you can keep the look in warmer months with the heater off.

Does it come with a remote?

No. Controls are on the unit, and the thermostat and auto shut-off are set manually.

Can it go in a garage or outside?

No. It is listed for indoor use only, not for garages or outdoor spaces.

When is the best time to buy?

Electric fireplaces usually see the deepest discounts in late fall and after the holidays. The current $68.39 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026 is the only new price listed, so watch for markdowns as winter stock clears.
