Is the Ryzen 7 fast enough for everyday use?

Yes. A Ryzen 7 with 16 GB of RAM handles browsing, Office, video calls and light photo editing comfortably. It is not built for gaming beyond light titles or for heavy video rendering.

Does it have a number pad?

Yes. The 15.6-inch chassis includes a full number pad, which is unusual on many thin 15-inch laptops.

Is the screen good for drawing or note-taking?

It is a touchscreen, so tapping, scrolling and basic stylus-free note apps work. It is not a convertible, so it does not fold flat for sketching.

Is $549.99 a good price?

At $549.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price we track, so we cannot show a discount against past prices. Compare it with other 16 GB Ryzen 7 touchscreen laptops before deciding.

Can the RAM or storage be upgraded?

The 512 GB SSD is generally replaceable on this class of HP 15. RAM is often soldered on these models, so buy the 16 GB version rather than planning an upgrade.
