Is 32 GB of RAM overkill for this laptop?

For web browsing and Office it is more than needed, but it helps with dozens of tabs, virtual machines or large spreadsheets. It also means you won't need to upgrade later.

Can this laptop handle gaming?

Only light or older games. The Core i5-1335U uses integrated Intel graphics, so modern titles will run at low settings and frame rates.

How does the i5-1335U compare to newer chips?

It is a 13th-gen 10-core U-series part built for efficiency, not speed. Newer H-series or Core Ultra chips are faster for heavy workloads, but this one runs cooler and quieter.

Is a 17.3-inch laptop too big to carry daily?

It is heavy and wide for a backpack commute. It works best as a desk machine that occasionally moves between rooms or offices.

What ports and features does Windows 11 Pro add?

Pro adds BitLocker encryption, Remote Desktop and domain join over Home. Port selection varies by configuration, so confirm with the seller before buying.

When is the best time to buy it?

With only one new listing at $1,149, there is no competing price to wait for. Watch for HP or Newegg promotions around back-to-school and Black Friday.

Our take on the HP Business Laptop 17.3"

A 17.3-inch HP business laptop with a 13th-gen Intel Core i5-1335U, 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro. The big screen, backlit keyboard and generous memory and storage suit desk work, spreadsheets and multitasking more than travel. Its best new price is $1,149 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.
