Is the HP 15t-fd100 worth it?

For basic Windows tasks at a low price, yes. If you need gaming, video editing or lots of storage, spend more on a machine with 16 GB RAM and a larger SSD.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

Storage is usually replaceable, but RAM on many 15t models is soldered, so buy the 16 GB version up front if you can. Confirm the configuration before ordering.

Enough for Windows, Office and a few apps. Photos, games and video will fill it quickly, so plan on cloud storage or an external drive.

How does it compare with the previous 15t generation?

The fd100 uses a newer Intel platform, so expect modest speed and efficiency gains rather than a redesign. The 15.6-inch size, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD carry over.

What comes in the box?

The laptop and its power adapter, plus standard paperwork. A mouse, sleeve and Office subscription are typically not included.

Budget HP laptops usually drop during back-to-school, Black Friday and end-of-quarter sales. Check the price history here before buying.
